The Youth & Media Engagement (R2HE) conference brought together approximately 100 youth leaders for a formal, dialogue-driven session focused on youth development and leadership in shaping the future world. Organised by UNDP, the conference provided a structured platform for young voices to engage in meaningful discussions, knowledge sharing, and critical conversations surrounding the role of youth in global development and media engagement. 

The key objectives of the conference were to engage and amplify youth voices, facilitate knowledge sharing among young leaders, and raise awareness on youth development as a critical component of future global leadership. The event aimed to encourage active participation and dialogue while fostering collaboration between stakeholders and youth representatives.

EXECUTIONS

ACE was appointed to deliver end-to-end execution for the conference. The scope of work included overall event coordination, program flow management, stage and audio-visual setup, registration management, and media configuration. 

ACE also coordinated technical and media-related arrangements to support both on-site and livestream audiences, ensuring a professional and seamless conference experience aligned with UNDP standards. 

Planning and Setup

Planning for the conference commenced approximately one month prior to the event. ACE conducted thorough preparations including speaker coordination, rehearsals, and full technical testing to ensure smooth execution. 

Comprehensive contingency planning was implemented to mitigate potential risks and ensure uninterrupted program flow throughout the conference. 

Program Management

The conference was moderated by a professional emcee, supported by a detailed event rundown and continuous on-site communication among the event team. Key program segments included opening remarks delivered by the Ambassador of the European Union to Malaysia, followed by structured discussions and interactive sessions. 

Audience engagement was encouraged through live Q&A segments, ensuring active participation while maintaining a well-managed and timely program flow. 

Technical Support 

ACE provided complete technical support, including LED screen projection, professional sound systems and AV playback. The event was livestreamed to extend its reach beyond physical attendees. 

Additional technical coordination included language translators, sign language interpreter, and a professional videographer. All technical and media vendors were managed directly by ACE to ensure quality control and seamless integration. 

Networking & Engagement 

The conference included networking opportunities for participants, with breakfast provided prior to the conference and lunch served after the program. Audience interaction was further enhanced through live Q&A sessions and real-time polling via Slido, encouraging inclusive participation and dynamic engagement throughout the event.
