The 2025 Biosensors Kickoff Meeting brought together approximately 100 APAC staff members from the Sales and Marketing teams for a two-day physical event in Penang. Designed as a semi-formal corporate gathering, the event combined strategic alignment sessions with interactive team-building activities and a networking dinner. Set across two venues, the program aimed to balance business objectives with engagement, collaboration, and team bonding in a relaxed destination setting. 

The primary objectives of the 2025 Biosensors Kickoff Meeting were to align regional teams on the company’s strategic direction and goals for 2025, motivate and energise the sales force ahead of the new business year, and strengthen teamwork and overall company culture. The event also served as a platform to encourage cross-team interaction and reinforce a shared sense of purpose among APAC team members.

EXECUTIONS 

ACE was appointed to manage the event from start to finish, providing end-to-end event execution and on-ground support. This included concept discussion with the client, overall program flow design, logistics coordination, manpower management, and full technical production such as audio-visual, sound, lighting, and stage setup.

ACE also handled entertainment and game ideation, with a strong focus on interactive team-building activities. A standout highlight of the event was the Squid Game–themed team-building segment, which successfully encouraged participation, collaboration, and friendly competition among attendees. 

Planning and Setup 

The event required careful coordination across multiple event space, including Marquee at Rasa Sayang and Golden Sands, Penang. Our adaptability in the face of unexpected factors, like weather-affected outdoor venues, ensured a smooth and successful event. Proactive planning, flexible setup arrangements, and strong on-site coordination ensured the event proceeded seamlessly despite logistical and environmental challenges. 

Program Management 

ACE managed the overall program flow with a strong emphasis on timing, transitions, and audience engagement. A professional emcee was engaged, supported by a comprehensive event rundown prepared by ACE. Key program segments included an opening speech by the CEO of Biosensors, interactive Squid Game–themed team-building activities, and an awards and recognition session. Clear cueing, rehearsed transitions, and structured timelines ensured the program ran smoothly and maintained a high level of energy throughout the event. 

Technical Support 

ACE provided full technical support for the event, including LED screen setup, professional sound and lighting systems, microphone arrangements, and AV playback for presentations and visual content. Presentation slides were prepared and integrated into the program flow to support key segments. 

All technical vendors were managed directly by ACE, ensuring consistency, quality control, and seamless coordination throughout the event. 

HIGHLIGHTS

The networking dinner served as a key highlight of the event managed by ACE, offering attendees a relaxed platform to connect and unwind after the day’s activities. Set within a semi-formal atmosphere, the dinner complemented the overall event objectives by fostering interaction, strengthening relationships, and reinforcing team camaraderie in an enjoyable and engaging environment.
